The »verstehen« series
Complicated technology, explained calmly and clearly — free, built with multiple languages in mind and with material for the classroom.
One series, many topics
Each page takes on a single topic and explains it calmly — from the first “What is this, really?” all the way into the detail. Pick whatever interests you right now.
Why »verstehen« exists
Technology shapes every single day now — and yet so much of it stays a black box. The »verstehen« series is our attempt to change that: digital literacy for every generation, from the curious grandmother to a whole class of students. No hype, no fear — just calm, honest explanations.
Every page has four learning modes: “Simple” for the first encounter, “In Detail” for everyone who wants to know exactly how it works, plus a “Student view” for the classroom and a “Teacher preparation” with answers and worksheets. So the same page reads right for beginners and advanced learners alike — nobody is left over- or under-challenged.
And the promise stays the same everywhere: ad-free, data-minimising, free of charge and freely usable under CC BY 4.0. No trackers, no cookie banners, no hidden agendas — just content you are allowed to pass on.
